About The Position

LTC Solutions, LLC is seeking a mid-level Technical Writer / Training Specialist / Technical Support Specialist to provide support to Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC), Installations and Logistics (I&L), and the Global Positioning Network (GPN) Program. This role involves developing recurring reports, transition documentation, training materials, meeting products, and technical deliverables in a hybrid environment supporting the Pentagon. The position prepares monthly program reports, executive presentations, agendas, meeting minutes, action-item trackers, transition plans, training curricula, user guides, and standard operating procedures. The Technical Writer will ensure documentation is accurate, professionally formatted, technically consistent, and delivered in accordance with program schedules and Marine Corps standards. Additionally, the role supports organizational capacity-building through the development of instructional materials, knowledge-transfer documentation, and technical reference products.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizen with an Active TS/SCI security clearance and ability to obtain a CAC card.
  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, Education, Business Administration, Information Systems, Public Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Four (4) to seven (7) years of experience supporting Department of Defense technical writing, documentation, training development, program support, or executive staff activities.
  • Experience preparing technical documentation, reports, user guides, standard operating procedures (SOPs), or training materials.
  • Experience developing executive presentations, briefing materials, meeting agendas, meeting minutes, and action-item trackers.
  • Experience supporting recurring reporting requirements and maintaining document version control.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong technical writing, editing, proofreading, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple document development efforts while meeting established deadlines.

  • Experience supporting Headquarters Marine Corps, Department of the Navy, Joint Staff, or other Department of Defense headquarters organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain monthly program status reports, executive summaries, progress reports, and recurring contract deliverables.
  • Prepare transition plans, transition checklists, knowledge-transfer documentation, and continuity materials supporting program startup, turnover, and sustainment.
  • Develop meeting agendas, presentation materials, executive briefing packages, meeting minutes, decision logs, and action-item trackers supporting Government meetings and working groups.
  • Track action items, milestones, suspense dates, and deliverable status to ensure timely completion and accurate reporting.
  • Develop technical manuals, user guides, standard operating procedures (SOPs), quick-reference guides, and process documentation supporting program operations.
  • Design and develop training curricula, lesson plans, instructor guides, student materials, job aids, and knowledge-transfer modules supporting Government personnel and contractor staff.
  • Maintain standardized document templates, formatting standards, style guides, and document repositories to promote consistency across all program deliverables.
  • Coordinate document reviews, comment adjudication, version control, and publication activities using Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, ETMS2, or other collaboration platforms.
  • Support preparation of executive presentations, conference materials, briefing books, and reference packages for senior leadership engagements.
  • Assist in documenting business processes, workflows, best practices, and lessons learned to support organizational improvement and long-term sustainment.
  • Ensure all reports, training products, and technical documentation are technically accurate, professionally formatted, appropriately classified, and compliant with Department of Defense and Marine Corps standards.
  • Support Requests for Information (RFIs), data calls, executive taskers, and other documentation requirements as assigned.
  • Collaborate with Program Managers, Technical Writers, Data Analysts, Logistics Analysts, and Government personnel to ensure consistency across reports, training materials, and technical documentation.
  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve documentation quality, reporting efficiency, training effectiveness, and organizational knowledge management.
  • Perform additional technical writing, training development, meeting support, reporting, and administrative documentation duties necessary to accomplish contract requirements.
