About The Position

Volatus Aerospace is seeking a Technical Writer to join their team and support the development, standardization, and maintenance of technical documentation across engineering, operations, and production environments. The Technical Writer will play a key role in preparing clear, concise written documentation that communicates technical information and will lead a group of technical writers to deliver necessary documentation for business success. The primary responsibility of this position and group is to develop technical documentation.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in science, Engineering, or English, or diploma in Technical Writing/Information Development
Professional technical writing experience in a product development, production or manufacturing environment is preferred
Knowledge of authoring tools
Experience working with content management systems

Nice To Haves

Previous UAV/UAS experience is considered a strong asset for this role

Responsibilities

Collaborate with stakeholders on documentation tasks
Determine needs of end users in technical documentation
Creating documentation and procedures to support the production of Technical Systems
Develop, edit and update documents and work templates for our operations
Collaborate with team members and subject matter experts to gather information
Ensure documents are reviewed by subject matter experts
During all phases of development, ensure that the information is complete, accurate, and appropriate for the intended audience
Support the engineering and production team in ensuring that customer deliverables for project documentation are delivered on time and to the highest quality
Standardize content and format across all platforms and media
Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be reasonably assigned by the Company from time to time
