About The Position

Entegrity Consulting Group is seeking a highly skilled Technical Writer to join our team. This role involves developing, writing, and maintaining a wide range of technical documentation, including user manuals, system design documents, test plans, and release/implementation plans. The Technical Writer will collaborate with various technical staff, ensuring all documentation is clear, concise, accurate, and compliant with established standards and regulatory requirements. This position requires a minimum of at least 3-5 years of experience in technical writing within the IT domain. Ideal candidates will possess a strong understanding of IT systems, the software development lifecycle (SDLC), and cybersecurity practices, along with exceptional written and verbal communication skills. This position is contingent on contract award.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Technical Writing, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in technical writing within the IT domain.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Familiarity with DoD regulations, Army Regulation 25-1 and 25-2, DISA STIGs, and other cybersecurity guidelines.
  • Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a government or military environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and cybersecurity practices.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Documentation Specialist –Intermediate roles.
  • Ability to define and execute functional tests based on use case scenarios
  • Knowledge of forensic science policies and procedures within the Department of Defense.
  • Experience with development and management of Software Development Plans and Configuration Management Plans.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, write, and maintain technical documentation, including but not limited to user manuals, system design documents, test plans, and release/implementation plans.
  • Ensure all documentation is clear, concise, and accurate, and adheres to the standards and guidelines defined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
  • Collaborate with software engineers, system engineers, analysts, and other technical staff to gather the necessary information for documentation purposes.
  • Maintain and update documentation as systems are enhanced or modified, ensuring all changes are accurately reflected.
  • Ensure compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards and other regulatory requirements.
  • Create and manage a comprehensive document library including flow charts, entity-relationship diagrams, and other system artifacts.
  • Support the development of training materials and documentation to facilitate user training and enhance system usability.
  • Participate in and document minutes for meetings, including project orientation meetings, progress meetings, and other relevant gatherings.
  • Maintain quality assurance of all documentation, ensuring traceability, transparency, and compliance with contract requirements.
  • Develop and update the Software Development Plan, Configuration Management Plan, and other essential process documentation.
  • Provide remedial documentation to address any identified deficiencies in existing materials.
  • Coordinate with the government and contractor representatives to ensure accurate and timely reporting of documentation progress and issues.
  • Combine status reporting and other CDRLs for delivery to customers.
