About The Position

As a Technical Writer, Senior, you play a critical role in managing the creation and maintenance of high-quality documentation across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with company standards and project-specific requirements. With advanced writing and editing expertise, you contribute directly to client projects, support cross-functional collaboration, and provide guidance to junior technical writers to promote clarity and consistency across all materials. Proactive and efficient in managing time and priorities, you coordinate the delivery of clear, precise, and accessible content that supports both internal teams and client goals, helping to uphold professionalism and precision in all documentation. Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in English, Technical and Professional Communication, Journalism, or another communication-related field is required.
5+ years' experience as a formal, technical, or medical writer is required.
2 years of experience with MadCap Flare or Adobe RoboHelp is required
Ability to write clearly and concisely in formal English.
Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with a wide range of technical and non-technical staff, accept constructive criticism of drafts, and manage tasks under tight deadlines.
Self-motivated with strong time management skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities effectively.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Word, Excel, and Visio) and other publishing software is required.

Nice To Haves

Education or experience in a software or health care-related field is preferred.
Adaptability, flexibility, and attention to detail are essential.
Demonstrated knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards is beneficial.
For non-clinical roles, or when not required by the contract specifically, the Company acknowledges that practical, hands-on experience can provide skills and competencies equivalent to formal education. As such, in cases where a Bachelor's degree may be required, the Company will accept a minimum of six (6) years of directly relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree. In instances where the candidate has an Associate's degree, the Company will accept a minimum of three (3) years of directly relevant professional experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

Contribute independently and take ownership of assigned projects, working with moderate to minimal supervision.
Lead the preparation, review, and editing of diverse documentation throughout the project life cycle, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and adherence to company and project standards.
Provide task leadership to junior team members, supporting their growth by offering guidance on documentation best practices and ensuring project objectives are met.
Collaborate with cross-functional and technical teams to gather and effectively communicate information, ensuring all documentation aligns with stakeholder expectations.
Adapt writing and editing styles to appropriately address varied audiences, enhancing the clarity and impact of all deliverables.
Promote and enforce the consistent application of document standards and design across all materials to uphold quality and consistency expectations.
Coordinate the management and maintenance of documentation tools and resources to improve team efficiency and document accessibility.
