About The Position

This role involves creating and managing technical documentation. The Technical Writer II will be responsible for explaining complex scientific and technical ideas in a clear and understandable manner for various audiences. This includes collaborating with engineers to define technical specifications, studying technical drawings and mockups, and ensuring the accuracy and quality of all documentation throughout the development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Final DoD granted SECRET security clearance.
• Minimum B.Sc. in Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
• Ability to explain scientific and technical ideas in simple language.
• Ability to meet with engineers to establish technical specifications.
• Ability to study technical drawings, specifications, and mockups.
• Ability to create technical documentation for a variety of audiences.
• Ability to gather and research information for use in technical documentation.
• Ability to prepare charts, graphs, or forms to go along with technical documentation.
• Ability to proofread technical documentation.
• Ability to follow the document development life cycle.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree
• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience
• Associate degree with 10 years of experience
• High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of experience
