About The Position

M9 Solutions is seeking a Technical Writer/Editor to work on-site in support of a government contract for a client located in Washington, DC. An active TS/SCI clearance is required. Requirements

  • TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with five (5) years of experience in a similar position with a large organization.
  • Communications strategy and execution experience.
  • Process development and improvement experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing and implementing written and visual content on SharePoint web pages.
  • Experience producing editorial, promotional, and/or documentary communications.
  • Familiarity with customer experience and human-centered design methodologies.
  • Experience performing user research and synthesis.

Responsibilities

  • Generates creative communications ideas around Information Technology issues.
  • Leads the planning, research, production, and delivery of content across multiple mediums, including websites and email.
  • Plans and leads research activities to gather story content.
  • Assists in the creation of communications materials, promotional materials, and leadership briefs that communicate the impact of communications initiatives.
  • Contributes to the development of a comprehensive communications and content strategy.
  • Gathers input from stakeholders, program managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Drafts internal communications, such as employee emails, newsletter stories, and intranet articles.
  • Writes clear, concise, and structured content using plain language while adhering to established templates and compliance standards.
  • Interprets technical input and translates it into accessible, non-technical language, as necessary.
  • Liaises with executives to translate communications requirements into effective messaging campaigns.
  • Tracks changes to maintain content in collaborative environments and manages multiple document versions using SharePoint.
  • Drafts, reviews, and publishes documents using Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Coordinates communications across divisions and internal to the client.
  • Develops communications that ensure brand consistency and support the client's strategic planning.
  • Manages communications from initial concept through implementation, ensuring alignment with project goals and audience needs.
  • Develops one-page slick sheets, hallway monitors, and presentations.
  • Adheres to client branding in all work products.
  • Ensures consistency in terminology, tone, formatting, and alignment in step with the client standards.
