About The Position

Leidos is hiring a mid-level Technical Writer/Editor in Camp Butler, Japan, to support its SMIT program, the Navy’s largest IT services program. Under SMIT’s Service Management, Integration, and Transport portion, the Leidos team delivers the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet, including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. The program supports the Navy’s efforts to unify shore-based networks and data management, improve capability and service, and reduce costs through an enterprise network.

The Technical Writer/Editor prepares and maintains systems, programming, and operations documentation, procedures, and methods, including user and reference manuals. The role also maintains a current internal documentation library, provides or coordinates special documentation services as needed, and acts as project leader for large jobs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and 6 years of related experience.
• U.S. citizenship and a Secret security clearance.
• Security+ certification.

Responsibilities
