About The Position

The Technical Editor applies quantitative and qualitative analysis and recommendations to improve organizational performance through changes to strategy, organizational structure, processes, human capital or culture, and information technology. The role recommends ways to capitalize on opportunities to improve client performance and advises on operational improvements. It also serves as a practitioner with expertise spanning management-advising pillars and other functional communities.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience with technical editing in a government or private environment.
• Experience using Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.
• Ability to proofread grammar and punctuation with a high level of accuracy.
• Strict attention to detail.
• Ability to support shift work.
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of writing or editing experience, or at least 7 years of writing or editing experience in lieu of a degree.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of DoD intelligence editing standards and styles.
• Knowledge of Community Authorized Classification and Control Markings.
• Ability to manage multiple publication projects and work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
