About The Position

Ampcus Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Technical Writer, Communications to join their team. This role is responsible for the design, writing, editing, and re-writing of various technical documents including software user guides, procedure manuals, and operational process specifications. The goal is to communicate complex information clearly to diverse audiences while adhering to established standards. A key aspect of this role involves transforming existing documentation for consumption by AI bots. The position requires research, interviewing subject matter experts, and analyzing business problems to provide effective communication solutions. The Technical Writer will also track documentation progress, ensure publication on Learning Management and Governance Tools, and communicate status updates to management. Participation in meetings to support new products and initiatives, providing subject matter expertise, and collaborating with various stakeholders are also essential functions. Ensuring compliance with legal, business, and regulatory requirements for project documentation is crucial.

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in small teams is necessary and be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Individuals must demonstrate initiative and work well independently as well as a contributing member of a team.
  • Should be well organized and detail oriented as well
  • 3 years’ experience as a technical writer or communications experience.
  • In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of call center operations claims and/or enrollment and billing workflows.
  • Knowledge of Claims Processing Systems, FEP Bridge, Facets and/or NASCO.
  • Knowledge of ACA.

Responsibilities

  • Writes, reviews, and edits material for user guides, test certification memo, reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, standard operating procedures, job aids, and other operational documentation and related technical and administrative publications.
  • Translates complex processes and systems into easily understandable step by step processes.
  • Improves quality, usability and efficiency of existing documentation.
  • Researches topics and interviews stakeholders to understand communication product requirements; analyzes business problems and helps prescribe communication solutions.
  • Utilizes provided tools/workflows to track progress of documentation and ensure publication on Learning Management and Governance Tools.
  • Communicates weekly with management verbally and via written detail status reports regarding potential problems and concerns.
  • Leads and/or participates in meetings to support new products, initiatives or operational work groups to understand impacts on processes and documentation.
  • Provides subject matter expertise to support operational initiatives as needed including process and system impacts.
  • Communicates and collaborates with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals.
  • Ensures project documentation is following company legal, business and regulatory requirements.
  • Transforms existing documentation to consumption by AI bots.
