We are looking for a Technical Veterinarian for our Farm Animal Division to cover the regions of Quebec, Ontario, and the Maritimes. At Vetoquinol, our mission is to listen to, understand, and meet the needs of our customers. The role of the technical veterinarian is to develop and enhance the company’s commercial effectiveness by providing scientific expertise to the sales teams and supporting customers in the use of Vetoquinol’s portfolio of products for farm animals.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Canada through a provincial association
  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in veterinary practice
  • Comfortable speaking in front of an audience and communicating effectively
  • Good working knowledge of dairy production
  • Good working knowledge of the cattle and swine industries
  • Bilingualism (French and English)
  • Professionalism and customer focus
  • Analytical and synthesis skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to customers and the sales force through emails, phone calls, joint sales visits, and participation in industry events in the territory, in collaboration with the Regional Sales Manager.
  • Organize and provide support during client meetings to present technical information to veterinarians and/or producers to improve their understanding of Vetoquinol products.
  • Build Vetoquinol’s reputation and expertise by representing the company in a professional, competent, and ethical manner.
  • Provide necessary clarification on technical issues that may hinder product adoption.
  • Work in partnership with the marketing department to ensure accurate, effective campaigns tailored to assigned product lines, as well as the organization and execution of Canadian programs and events.
  • Provide technical training and guidance to the sales team and the marketing department to ensure added value for customers and provide credible responses to objections during the sales process.
  • Build strong relationships, promote, and raise Vetoquinol’s technical profile among key customers, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and academic and veterinary organizations to maximize business opportunities and foster potential partnerships.
  • Support the Scientific Affairs department in managing pharmacovigilance cases.
  • Support the Medical Department in developing strategies and evaluating new product opportunities.
  • Stay up to date on veterinary topics through technical publications, participation in conferences/formal training, or interactions with other veterinarians in Canada and internationally.
  • Provide timely veterinary and technical advice and support to internal and external clients by responding to inquiries regarding the use of our products and medical conditions associated with our portfolio.
