About The Position

SAIC is seeking an experienced Technical Training Instructor with expertise in Technical Operations to support a training program for technical research, development, and engineering by providing instructional expertise to newly developed courses. This position requires an active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph and is located in Chantilly, VA. This is a part-time position. The training may include blended and distance learning solutions, along with asynchronous and synchronous approaches to training. The training will emphasize student-centered, experiential learning that requires strong facilitation skills.

Requirements

• Must currently hold an Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph to be considered
• Bachelor's degree, or relevant experience may be substituted
• 5 years of experience within the IC in Tech Ops
• 1 year of experience teaching or delivering to adult learners within the IC
• 18 or more years of relevant experience
• Demonstrated ability to tailor communication and proven ability to facilitate small and large groups of people with diverse backgrounds
• Demonstrated ability to adopt new technologies for knowledge management and/or tailoring of technology to support learning needs
• Demonstrated ability as a self-starter, to team effectively, regularly work outside your comfort zone, and to adapt to emerging technologies and evolving requirements
• Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative team environment and partnering across the IC

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with all or most of the following tools: Learning Management Systems, Collaboration Tools, MS OneNote, WordPress, Adobe Captive, Multimedia tools including the Adobe Creative suite

Responsibilities

• Support the onboarding course that will be approximately four weeks long and will run approximately six times per year.
• Support other courses as the occupational curriculum expands.
• Carry out training evaluations.
• Support creation of a variety of training products such as guides, handbooks, and job aids.
• Assert student performance, monitor progress and provide feedback.
• Assist the training team with course reviews and modifications between course runnings.
