About The Position

International is seeking a Technical Training Instructor to join our team in Woodridge, Illinois. The Technical Training team develops and delivers instructor-led, virtual, and web-based training for dealer and customer technicians across North America. The team supports current and future vehicle platforms by creating training content, delivering hands-on technical instruction, and ensuring technicians achieve certification and performance standards. This role offers the opportunity to directly impact technician readiness and customer success by developing the workforce that supports International's industry-leading commercial vehicles. The Technical Training Instructor plays a critical role in ensuring employees, dealers, and customers have the knowledge and skills needed to maximize vehicle performance, safety, and uptime.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of technical training experience OR Master's degree and at least 1 year of technical training experience OR At least 5 years of technical training experience
  • Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
  • We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

Responsibilities

  • Deliver hands-on and classroom technical training to dealer technicians.
  • Facilitate classroom lectures, demonstrations, and laboratory exercises.
  • Collaborate with Training Development in the creation and updating of technical training materials and lab activities.
  • Work with engineering, technical support, and manufacturing teams to ensure training reflects current product features and service procedures.
  • Evaluate trainee performance and provide coaching, feedback, and development recommendations.
  • Instruct participants on vehicle systems including diesel engines, electrical systems, powertrain, diagnostics, and advanced technologies.
