About The Position

The top priority is to be consistently present in the work area with new hires to ensure a smooth adaptation process and high-quality training aligned with official quality system procedures. Technical on-the-job training must be delivered directly within the assigned department roles, requiring trainers to spend the vast majority of their time on the floor, working closely with personnel. Additionally, it is essential to ensure compliance with the training plan and to oversee the development of technical skills through courses, needs assessments, and continuous improvement tools.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all training for new hires, from orientation through to personnel release and handover to the assigned department.
  • Ensure the technical training plan for new hires is followed, and perform hands-on training directly in the work area while monitoring their progress.
  • Ensure that new employees adhere to the code of conduct and comply with company procedures, rules, and methodologies.
  • Conduct daily follow-up of personnel directly in the work area.
  • Comply with the technical training plan for new hires by directly teaching the process in the work area and monitoring their progress.
  • Availability to monitor staff across different work shifts, as well as to conduct personnel evaluations when required by the company.
  • Provide on-the-job follow-up to address questions from both new hires and long-standing employees.
  • Manage the entire training process for personnel undergoing training for a new position.
  • Monitor personnel directly in the work area to track the performance of employees in development.
  • Audit processes directly on the floor to verify compliance with procedures or work instructions.
  • In case of non-compliance with procedures, notify area supervisors, training specialists, and human resources.
  • Perform daily walkthroughs to identify process errors related to methods or labor, and refer personnel for retraining on specific topics as needed.
  • Participate in the annual implementation of the skill matrix to identify competency gaps, and will conduct evaluations of personnel using the skill matrix for the required positions and those in which they have expertise.
  • Participate in the analysis of the skill matrix to develop action plans in coordination with area supervisors and human resources.
  • Based on the results of the skill matrix, schedule internal training courses to eliminate competency gaps.
  • Create training materials, presentations, and assessments (test-in & test-out) for the courses.
  • Prior to training sessions, verify all information with area supervisors to ensure the content aligns with the department’s procedures and work methods.
  • Conduct course satisfaction surveys to identify areas of opportunity for improvement.
  • Responsible for collecting all paperwork and documentation, including the signatures of trained personnel, to certify that the employee has completed the training.
  • Document the training in the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Document all evidence of exams, tests, and feedback in each employee's training file and in QMS, as applicable.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and prepare any required reports.
  • Prepare monthly course results reports, including attendance, participation, test-in vs. test-out scores, findings, etc.
  • Actively participate in the training documentation by identifying and creating documentation for activities not currently covered in official procedures or work instructions.
  • Identify improvements or activities that need to be added to the training plan for the operative positions.
  • Propose improvements to current processes to enhance company efficiency and quality.
  • Promote learning alternatives that benefit the department.
  • Support continuous improvement projects focused on training or people development.
  • When a plant-level project is closed, ensure that new standards or methods are updated in the applicable training plans.
  • Comply with the Safety Regulations.
  • Align Training Plans and evaluations with HSE regulations and procedures.
  • Promote an HSE culture through internal training sessions.
