About The Position

InterSystems Technical Trainers instruct customers on the company’s software, database, and interoperability technologies. They deliver training worldwide to help learners—from Global 500 companies to regional hospitals—develop the information and technical skills needed to design and build solutions using InterSystems technologies. The role suits confident, motivated instructors and technical candidates who want to become instructors. Successful trainers combine interpersonal and coaching skills with a deep technical understanding of the products. They work independently to deliver and improve courses and collaborate to develop new courses and training materials. Senior trainers provide training and mentorship as new trainers learn to deliver technically demanding instruction. Training is delivered both virtually and in person. The role offers opportunities to develop client-facing interpersonal and presentation skills, explore technologies supporting InterSystems cloud and big data initiatives, and deepen technical knowledge of the company’s database platform and interoperability products, along with industry technologies and standards such as REST, Python, AI-enhanced tools, AngularJS, HL7 FHIR, and OAuth. Travel to customer sites is required, primarily domestically, with possible international opportunities.

Requirements

Instructional aptitude.
Strong technical and interpersonal customer-facing skills.
Exceptional presentation skills, including strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate complex technologies and concepts to specific audiences at different levels.
Proven ability to quickly learn all aspects of technical software products.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across organizational boundaries.
Ability to travel to customer sites, primarily domestically, with possible international travel.
BS or MS in Computer Science or an equivalent STEM field.

Nice To Haves

Experience delivering software or application training; motivated technical candidates without this experience may be trained.
Object-oriented programming experience.

Responsibilities

Deliver technical training in person or in a virtual classroom using remote learning tools.
Train customers, partners, and internal staff—including developers, integrators, administrators, analysts, and software architects—to use InterSystems products.
Support the Online Learning Team as it expands its catalog of interactive online courses and resources.
Collaborate with Customer Support, Account Management, and Marketing to develop effective instructional solutions that support use of InterSystems products and technologies.
Work independently to deliver and improve courses and collaboratively to design new courses and training materials.
