About The Position

The Technical Team Lead provides leadership direction to the technical team in the delivery of software project components and technical expertise. Collaborates with the Business Process Leads, Business SME, Functional Analysts, Project Manager, Team Manager, and developers on various projects. Focuses on application product delivery aspects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field required
  • Five to eight years previous software engineering experience with one year previous leadership experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • excellent leadership skills to mentor and motivate team members
  • good communication and interpersonal skills to resolve problems.
  • good time management and organizational skills.
  • ability to multi-task, prioritize and be able to work independently or within a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership for projects and serve as point of contact in collaboration with the Team Manager.
  • Leads Agile ceremonies in support of Gordon Agility
  • Develop vision for the project including identification of and agreement on problems to be solved, identification of system stakeholders, system boundaries, and the description of primary system features.
  • Analyze current business systems, determine scope and estimate effort for each element of scope.
  • Assist in designing GUI and software components.
  • Perform requirement analysis including determination of Actors and Use Cases and the development of Business Use Cases and Systems Use Cases.
  • Coordinate development efforts, coordinates and leads code reviews, and ensures compliance with quality control processes.
  • May construct various software components and validates completeness and quality.
  • Assist in monitoring project activities, defining best practices and initiating process improvements.
  • Provide input in hiring decisions and performance evaluations; mentor and motivate the team.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
