As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Cleaning Team Lead to join our team and drive our relationships with hyperscale clients to new heights. This position is located in Malaga, WA.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 40lbs.
  • Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipment.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time in various work environments.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for equipment related tasks.
  • Basic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergency situations and navigate areas quickly.
  • Ability to differentiate between color-coded warning signs, labels, and cables.
  • Ability to work in environments with a wide variety of temperatures inside a facility.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, or snow.
  • Capability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protection.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in data center cleaning.
  • Experience in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Familiarity with data center safety protocols.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Teams for record keeping and communication.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing cleaning staff, assigning tasks, and ensuring proper execution.
  • Giving morning “Tool Box” Talks, laying out the daily plan, and milestone goals.
  • Ensuring all PPE is worn, in good condition, and each team member is in Salute branded attire.
  • Going over any potential hazards or concerns of the work (Electrical panels, Racks, buttons, screens etc.) and the proper way to move around and or work on them.
  • Keeping track of attendance and reporting daily on issues for tracking and pattern recognition.
  • Conducting quality control inspections to maintain cleanliness standards and address any issues.
  • Following and observing individuals' cleaning techniques.
  • Performing site walks with the client for sign-off when work is completed and uploading this to teams for record keeping.
  • Monitoring and replenishing cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Completing and filling out daily inventory checklist forms and uploading to team's folder.
  • Checking the condition of all equipment and making notes of any issues to get a replacement when needed.
  • Ensuring all cleaning procedures comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Ensuring site paperwork (JHA's, PTP's etc.) is completed before work begins and uploaded for electronic tracking before turning into the client.
  • Ensuring all faulty or damaged equipment is replaced.
  • Confirming all team members are wearing and using required PPE at all times and that it is in good condition.
  • Training team members on any new safety protocols.
  • Ensuring that only certified team members operate lifts (scissor lifts, boom lifts, etc.).
  • Conducting pre-operation inspections of lifts before each use.
  • Documenting lift inspections daily and uploading forms to the Teams folder.
  • Confirming that lift usage aligns with manufacturer guidelines and site-specific safety requirements.
  • Ensuring proper barricades or cones are placed when lifts are in use.
  • Reporting any malfunctioning lift immediately and removing it from service.
  • Providing guidance and training to team members on best practices.
  • Working with new hires to get training completed before starting on site.
  • Working with all team members to stay up to date on new training.
  • Communicating if new processes are tried and their results, and any issues with completing training.
  • Working with team members from observations to improve techniques or views in the process, making notes of discussions and corrective steps.
  • Giving praise for good observations and making notes of discussions.
  • Planning work shifts and coordinating tasks to maximize efficiency.
  • Ensuring timecards are completed daily before leaving site.
  • Tracking site schedules from customers.
  • Providing schedule information to the PM via email.
  • Communicating any changes to completion date/turnover/signoff and the new date via email.
