About The Position

Bobyard is doubling its team and plans to do so again. This role is for a Technical Talent Sourcer who will build systems to identify exceptional but not actively broadcasting engineers, designers, and operators, and engage them in conversations before they are actively looking. The position is ideal for someone who approaches sourcing as applied research rather than mass outreach.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of sourcing or recruiting experience, preferably for technical roles at an early-stage startup.
  • Skilled at resume, GitHub profile, and LinkedIn analysis to quickly form a fit hypothesis.
  • Strong writing skills, capable of crafting thoughtful outreach that elicits replies.
  • Comfortable operating autonomously and documenting processes.
  • Data-literate, with experience tracking pipelines, conversion rates, and using data for improvement.
  • Familiarity with ATS tools (Ashby preferred) and LinkedIn Recruiter.

  • Exposure to construction, trades, or technical industries.

Responsibilities

  • Own top-of-funnel candidate pipeline management for technical roles including engineers, product, design, and go-to-market.
  • Define qualification criteria before initiating outreach.
  • Proactively source candidates using platforms like GitHub, LinkedIn, research corpora, niche communities, and referral networks.
  • Craft precise, respectful, and relevant outreach messaging that aims to convert and gather insights.
  • Build structured candidate profiles including background, signal, and fit hypothesis for hiring teams.
  • Instrument the candidate funnel by tracking source quality, response rates, and pipeline health to identify effective strategies.
  • Partner with the Talent Engineer to feed signals into automation workflows and identify opportunities for systematizing manual tasks.
  • Represent Bobyard professionally in all candidate interactions, serving as a brand ambassador.
