About The Position

Provide hardware, software, peripheral and helpdesk support. Perform operational duties as needed for all enterprise desktop systems.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science from a two-year college: equivalent combination of education and applicable work experience will also be considered.
  • A+, Network +, MCP, MCSA certification a plus.
  • Evidence of continuing technical education.
  • Strong customer service skills and willingness to assist others.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate to all levels within the organization and with all levels of technical competency.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • ITIL Foundation training a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and install new workstations, printers and peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot and remediate PC, printer, and peripheral issues.
  • Provide helpdesk support for end-users covering a wide variety of applications and cloud based solutions.
  • Technical support for Community Room and Board Room events (Audio/Video equipment, laptops).
  • Install, update, configure and troubleshoot software in the enterprise desktop environment.
  • User Access Control responsibilities for numerous systems and services.
  • Provide operational support for all applications and software functions including file uploads, files downloads, and report execution.
  • Create and maintain system monitoring to track system outages, ensure appropriate alerts, and document resolution when needed.
  • Must be willing to perform On Call responsibilities after hours and on weekends as part of an on call support team.
  • Record and maintain hardware and software inventories, site and/or server licensing, and user access and security.
  • Support and improve ITIL processes including incident, problem, and change management.
  • Develop and continuously enhance run documentation.
  • Participate in DR Planning and Testing.
  • Maintain an organized work area and storage areas for equipment ensuring that we maximize the ROI on all Michigan First assets.
  • Write and maintain system documentation.
  • Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the network.
  • Becomes/is an advocate of The Michigan First Way, supporting all facets of it, including complete fulfillment of Our Promise, 5 STARS Service, SOLVE IT and our ISMs.
  • Fosters a positive demeanor and image through professional representation in all contacts with both, team members and members.
  • Consistently reflects and displays each of our “ISMs” in daily job performance, as well as in all business interactions while executing on our goals and initiatives.
  • Learns and utilizes EMEC (Every Member’s Experience Counts) in day-to-day responsibilities when communicating with members only.
  • Preform other duties as assigned.
