About The Position

Engineered Corrosion Solutions is looking for a Technical Support Specialist to provide high quality virtual technical support to our customers. This role focuses on troubleshooting, documentation, and customer communication. You will act as a key point of contact for customers, helping resolve issues quickly and accurately. You will also support internal teams by documenting service activity and helping coordinate field service when needed.

Requirements

  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good customer service mindset and relationship skills
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Ability to read and understand drawings and wiring schematics
  • Working knowledge of AC and DC electrical systems
  • Willingness to continue learning and developing skills
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation every 4 to 6 weeks
  • Alignment with ECS core values
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least 3 years of customer support or technical service experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Salesforce is helpful but not required
  • Technical program completion or relevant military experience preferred
  • Ideal candidates have both

Responsibilities

  • Provide high touch virtual support through phone, video, and other communication tools
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and identify root causes using drawings, procedures, and customer input
  • Process customer calls, documentation, and orders with accuracy and speed
  • Keep accurate records of service activities in Salesforce
  • Communicate customer issues and repair needs to the Customer Support Manager
  • Perform in-house repair and maintenance on service equipment
  • Escalate unresolved issues to Field Service Technicians as needed
  • Help coordinate field service visits when stepping in for the Technical Support Coordinator
  • Support continuous improvement efforts and help build new processes with other teams
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and deliver excellent service
