About The Position

We have multiple openings for Technical Support Specialists to staff our 24/7 helpdesk supporting US Department of Defense hardware, software, and network infrastructure. Openings are available for day, night, and swing shifts. This is a full-time, position. You will provide technical support via phone and email for equipment operating worldwide. The supported equipment includes but is not limited to servers, specialized appliances, data collection systems, sensors, and networks. Our current shift opening is for 00:00-8:30 am overnight which includes weekends. This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US citizen for consideration.

Requirements

  • US citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
  • High school diploma
  • Associate’s degree in IT or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in technical support
  • Ability to obtain DoD 8570 baseline certification to include at least one of the following: CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in related technical field.
  • Experience in cybersecurity field
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Work experience on DoD contracts and maintaining equipment on DoD networks.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist in documentation and resolution of cybersecurity related issues.
  • Remotely apply patches, updates, and fixes to fielded systems.
  • Quickly identify and troubleshoot network issues.
  • Manage certificates for equipment on a secure network.
  • Provide technical support to end users and maintenance technicians via phone and email.
  • Work closely with engineering team to resolve complex problems.
  • Accurately enter data into ticket tracking systems and asset management
  • Monitor status of tickets to ensure that all customer requests are handled in a timely manner.
  • Report status of tickets and parts to management during weekly meetings.
  • Adhere strictly to DoD and other relevant government regulations and protocols concerning the transport, storage, disposal, and dissemination of controlled unclassified and classified materials or information.
