Requirements
- Experience with cabling manufacturing and repair (crimping contacts, soldering, stripping / preparing wires, terminating shields, etc.).
- Build and / or modify hardware using machine shop equipment (e.g. drill press, grinding wheel, band saw).
- Experience understanding and building to fabrication drawings and schematics.
- Self-motivated, team player willing to adapt within a dynamic work environment.
- Ability to receive direction from technical staff.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
Nice To Haves
- Assembly and modification of equipment cabinets, racks, and communications cabling desired.
- Excellent communication skills and commitment to work deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Mid-level electrical technician familiar with analog and digital communications circuits with experience in modifications, troubleshooting, and use of electrical test equipment.
- Work with cabling build / modification, computer systems, and running checkout tests.
- Assembly and modification of equipment cabinets, racks, and communications cabling.
- Troubleshooting electrical systems.
- Maintain inventory of labs equipment.
- Willingness to work occasional overtime, to include extended shifts and weekends.
