About The Position

Reporting to the Director of Technical Support & Quality Assurance, the Technical Support Engineer is responsible for handling moderately to highly complex technical requests. This includes developing custom tools and performing specific engineering calculations. The role also involves contributing to training content and building specialized knowledge of the company’s products. Main Collaborators: Production, Design, Customer Service, Estimating, Project Management, Sales Representatives // Architects, External Engineers, Specialized Contractors

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Building Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Recent university graduate
  • Strong computer literacy
  • Proficiency in reading plans and specifications
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the construction sector
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling software (Inventor is an asset)
  • Familiarity with Jira
  • Knowledge of SharePoint
  • Experience with Epicor ERP

Responsibilities

  • Perform various engineering calculations
  • Participate in test bench setups and prototype assembly
  • Contribute to early-stage innovation initiatives
  • Ensure all developed solutions and products comply with applicable building codes (CNBC / IBC)
  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge in their area of expertise
  • Participate in product design review meetings
  • Respond to technical questions using available engineering tools
  • Create engineering tools to accelerate technical support response times
  • Develop technical documentation and support materials
  • Respond to internal technical requests (e.g., custom or standardized detail reviews)
  • Prepare thermal simulations
  • Conduct finite element analysis (FEA)
  • Design functional architectural assembly details that meet building code requirements
