About The Position

Velocity Network (VNET), Northwest Pennsylvania’s leading technology services firm, is seeking a Technical Support and Project Specialist to join its growing team. The role provides advanced technical support for IT infrastructure projects and acts as an escalation resource for complex issues that frontline support teams cannot resolve. The specialist works with server, cloud, virtualization, and network infrastructure, collaborates with internal teams, and helps deliver project and issue resolution in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of IT support experience.
• Advanced knowledge of server, cloud, virtualization, and network infrastructure, including migrations and complex troubleshooting.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, including the ability to resolve complex technical issues and communicate risks effectively.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Ability to meet Pennsylvania school work requirements, including successful completion after hire of Act 34, Act 151, and Act 114 background clearances.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's degree or technical training in information technology, computer networking, systems administration, or a related field.
• Additional experience implementing IT infrastructure projects or resolving high-level technical issues.
• Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Complete server, cloud, virtualization, and network infrastructure project tasks.
• Evaluate client needs and technical requirements to scope solutions supporting project design and implementation.
• Diagnose complex IT infrastructure issues and determine appropriate solutions.
• Evaluate advanced technical issues as an escalation resource for cross-functional teams, determine appropriate action, and support timely resolution.
• Identify and communicate technical risks, obstacles, or changes that may affect project requirements, schedules, or success.
• Collaborate proactively with internal teams to exchange information, coordinate technical activities, and support successful project and issue resolution.
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of work performed.
