We are seeking a Network Engineer / Analyst to support multiple facilities across New Jersey, providing on-site and remote support for network operations and related IT systems. Position Overview The Network Engineer / Analyst will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving network and IT issues, performing network repairs, and supporting routers and related infrastructure across various New Jersey locations. The role also requires a basic understanding of software development concepts and hands-on database knowledge to support application and data connectivity issues. You will work closely with internal teams, vendors, and end users to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient network operations.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of professional experience in a Network Engineer, Network Analyst, or IT Support role with strong networking responsibilities.
  • Hands-on experience with: Network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, basic routing/switching).
  • Network device support (routers, switches; basic firewall understanding is a plus).
  • IT support for end-user connectivity and network-related issues.
  • Basic understanding of software development concepts (e.g., APIs, client-server applications, version control awareness).
  • Practical database knowledge, including: Basic SQL querying (SELECT, JOIN, filtering) Understanding of database connectivity (ODBC/JDBC, connection strings, access permissions).
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and ticketing systems (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, ServiceNow, Jira, or similar).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to troubleshooting.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly to various locations across New Jersey.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or equivalent.
  • Experience in multi-site environments or field support roles.
  • Exposure to scripting or automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for basic task automation.
  • Familiarity with security best practices for network configuration and access control.
  • Customer-focused mindset and service-oriented approach.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline.
  • Ability to work independently at remote sites and collaborate effectively with distributed teams.
  • Time management and prioritization skills in a multi-site support environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support for network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/Wi‑Fi) across multiple New Jersey locations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues, performance problems, and hardware failures.
  • Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices under established standards and procedures.
  • Perform root-cause analysis of network incidents; document findings and implement corrective actions.
  • Support IT troubleshooting for end users, including network access, VPN, and basic workstation connectivity issues.
  • Monitor network health and performance using standard monitoring tools; escalate issues as needed.
  • Assist in implementing network changes, upgrades, and patches in coordination with senior engineers.
  • Work with application and software teams to diagnose basic integration or connectivity issues between applications and network resources.
  • Use SQL or other query tools to run basic queries, validate data connectivity, and support database-related troubleshooting.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, assets, and support procedures.
  • Follow change management, incident management, and security policies and procedures.
  • Travel to various sites in New Jersey as required to perform on-site assessments, installations, and repairs.
