About The Position

The Technical Staff, Datacenter Architect will help develop next-generation large-scale AI infrastructure, including accelerated compute, AI fabrics, and AI-optimized storage. The role works with high-profile AI customers to optimize solutions for their applications and tune systems for maximum performance. It drives data-center-level innovation in liquid cooling and power density, and shapes end-to-end solutions spanning servers through the data center.

Requirements

• 15+ years of professional experience.
• Working knowledge of data-center power distribution and thermal technologies from servers to the data hall.
• Solid understanding of and relationships with key suppliers of data-center power and thermal-management components.
• Ability to take a concept to customer production and understand competitive and business needs while architecting technical solutions.
• Experience negotiating competing interests and priorities to achieve the best possible outcome for stakeholders.
• Ability to travel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering; an advanced degree is highly preferred.
• Customer and partner project/program leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Engage with high-profile AI customers to optimize solutions for their applications.
• Drive the architecture of end-to-end solutions from server to data center, including air- and liquid-cooled servers, integrated rack solutions, power distribution, and heat rejection.
• Innovate power-centric solutions for increasingly dense IT environments.
• Optimize cost, energy efficiency, and performance from IT through the data center.
• Work closely with key external partners to create and communicate differentiated solutions.
• Clearly communicate complex data-center concepts to customers, colleagues, and upper management.
• Assess customer requirements and develop a blueprint based on the customer's geographical area.
