About The Position

This role provides advanced technical expertise and project delivery support for facility infrastructure and capital improvement initiatives. As a Technical Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring that engineering designs, construction activities, and facility upgrades meet JLL and client standards for safety, reliability, performance, and efficiency. The position combines hands-on engineering leadership with capital project execution, supporting the long-term operational excellence of complex facilities while contributing to JLL’s commitment to high-quality, sustainable real estate solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or a related Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities engineering, capital project delivery, or construction management.
  • Strong working knowledge of engineering principles across multiple disciplines.
  • Experience managing capital projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and contractor oversight.
  • Familiarity with applicable codes and standards (e.g., IBC, ASME, NFPA, NEC, ASHRAE).
  • Proficiency with engineering and design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM platforms.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineering (PE) license.
  • Experience supporting industrial, commercial, or specialized facilities (e.g., energy, petrochemical, manufacturing, R&D, or mission-critical environments).
  • Working knowledge of project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
  • Experience with commissioning, testing, and turnover of facility systems.
  • Exposure to sustainability initiatives, energy optimization, or smart building technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence technical decisions.
  • Experience developing or applying engineering standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical subject matter expert for facility systems, including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, utilities, structural, and building infrastructure.
  • Lead engineering assessments, feasibility studies, and scope development for capital and improvement projects.
  • Manage capital projects from concept through design, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
  • Review and validate engineering drawings, technical submittals, and design packages for accuracy and constructability.
  • Provide on-site construction support, including inspections, quality assurance, and resolution of technical issues.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with approved designs and schedules.
  • Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on energy efficiency, reliability, and cost optimization.
