About The Position

Southwest Electric Co., a division of SGB-SMIT Group, is seeking a Technical Specialist Quote Leader for their Field Service Division. This role acts as an intercompany liaison between sales and operations to ensure smooth project completion and serves as a technical resource for all Field Service activities. The company is a global transformer manufacturer supporting the energy transition with reliable solutions for wind and solar power, industry, and urban energy infrastructure.

Requirements

Ability to pass a pre-employment DOT drug screen and physical.
Complete a satisfactory nationwide criminal background check.
Bachelor’s degree in business/engineering or 5 years of experience.
Strong computer skills and understanding of Word/Excel/PowerPoint & Projects.

Responsibilities

Act as intercompany liaison between sales and operations to ensure all necessary communication takes place and allows projects to be completed without complications.
Serve as the designated contact for all SMIT/SGB intercompany work.
Prepare all estimates for Field Services, including intercompany and 3rd party quotes.
Develop and maintain a quote log to track quotes on an annual basis.
Act as a technical liaison between operations and engineering for field technician support.
Develop standard quote templates/work scopes for projects (e.g., Installations/LTC Inspections & Repairs).
Collaborate with Sales, FS Manager, technicians, and PMs on estimates to ensure projects can be done efficiently and cost-effectively.
Develop KPIs for quote activities and meeting monetary goals.
Review business goals and objectives to ensure they meet the budget requirements for the field service division.
