About The Position

Southwest Electric Co, a division of SGB-SMIT Group, is seeking a Technical Specialist Quote Leader for their Field Service Division. This role acts as an intercompany liaison between sales and operations, ensuring smooth project completion and serving as a technical resource for all Field Service activities. The position involves preparing estimates for Field Services, developing a quote log, and acting as a technical liaison between operations and engineering for field technicians. The Technical Specialist Quote Leader will also develop standard quote templates, collaborate with various teams on estimates, and develop KPIs for quote activities to meet monetary goals and budget requirements for the division.

Requirements

Ability to pass a pre-employment DOT drug screen, and physical.
Complete a satisfactory nationwide criminal background check.
Bachelor’s degree in business/engineering or 5 years of experience.
Strong computer skills and understanding Word/Excel/PowerPoint & Projects.

Responsibilities

Act as intercompany liaison between sales and operations to ensure all necessary communication takes place and allows projects to be completed without complications.
Serve as technical resources for all Field Service activities.
Designated contact for all SMIT/SGB intercompany work.
Prepare all estimates for Field Services – includes all intercompany and 3rd party quotes.
Develop & maintain quote log to track quotes on an annual basis.
Technical liaison between operations and engineering for technicians in field for support.
Develop standard quote templates/work scopes for projects (e.g., Installations/LTC Inspections & Repairs).
Collaborate with Sales, FS Manager, technicians, and PMs on estimates to ensure projects can be done efficiently and cost effective.
Develop KPI for quote activities and meeting monetary goals.
Review business goals and objectives to ensure they meet the budget requirements for the field service division.
