About The Position

The Solutions Technical Specialist Principal position for FedEx (FEC) leverages developed technical expertise and advanced communication skills to source, analyze, and support client needs throughout product and sales lifecycle. This position helps drive adoption of our products, services, and new ventures to both prospective and current clients. As a Principal, you will be required to assist sales discovery calls, draft and deliver presentations, demonstrate the features of company products, assist Product and Engineering teams in creating customized technical solutions for the client, and ensure the Integrations team has all the documents and artifacts needed to execute customized solutions for our clients and stakeholders. Focused work with emphasis on custom and advanced solutions for Global and Strategic partners/prospects to include work on API/Webhook based products. A key voice in ensuring product-customer fit in the pre-sales process Mentoring of team members/assisting with new member onboarding; representing the team/dept on cross-functional teams, projects, and trainings. Large involvement in Alpha/Beta product feature stages, collaborating with Product on technical feasibility and solution architecture. Support Sales with technical conversations, discovery calls, and solutioning sessions for products and services. Lead and mentor team members on technical conversations with prospects and partners for products and services in general availability. Ensure prospects and partners have reasonable and realistic understanding and scoping of technical requirements and considerations. Review partner technical requirements to make recommendations to Product Management, Strategy, and Integrations. Utilize coding skills and AI resources to create custom demos for our products and/or team processes. Provide and action customer feedback to Product Management teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field and/or equivalent formal training or work experience
  • Seven plus (7+) years equivalent work experience in computer support or information technology environment
  • A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements
