About The Position
This request is for a Technical Specialist who will serve as a mainframe expert. The ideal candidate should have mainframe skills including CICS, DB2, Elixir, Endevor, IMS, and JCL. Additional skills in middleware and MQ are beneficial. The candidate should possess thorough knowledge of the Z/OS operating system and its interrelationships and functionality. They should also have the ability to provide configuration management/release management support and guidance for Endevor software, thorough knowledge of SQL programming language and techniques, and thorough knowledge of tools and utilities to support DB2. The role requires the ability to evaluate complex SQL queries and recommend suggestions for better software performance and cost savings, as well as the ability to provide CICS administration, problem-solving, and debugging support interfacing with application developers as well as DIT personnel.
Requirements
- Mainframe skills including CICS, DB2, Elixir, Endevor, IMS, and JCL.
- Thorough knowledge of Z/OS operating system and its interrelationships and functionality.
- Thorough knowledge of SQL (Structured Query Language) programming language and techniques.
- Thorough knowledge of tools and utilities to support DB2.
