About The Position

The ERP Technical Specialist is responsible for providing support and oversight, as well as providing functional and technical support related to the software systems operated and utilized by the Department of Digital Innovation (DDI). The incumbent will be a subject matter expert on DDI business processes and the technical tools used to execute them. The ERP Technical Specialist will participate in team projects to enhance existing systems and business processes. Role and Responsibilities The following information is intended to describe the overall nature and scope of the work being performed in relation to the position. This is not a comprehensive listing of all responsibilities or tasks; other work may be assigned when deemed appropriate: Provide technical support for core enterprise business and K-12 specialty applications in use by schools and offices. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. Performs analysis, assessment, and planning activities to enhance and streamline the effectiveness and efficiency of business applications. Assists in developing solutions relevant to business needs, detailing business requirements, and managing interfaces. Collaborates with team members, vendors/providers, and information technology teams. Works with stakeholders on activities such as process mapping, gathering functional and technical requirements, testing, and delivery of solutions. Provides end user assistance and training related to multiple applications including Enterprise Resource Planning, Human Capital Management, Recruiting, K-12 school specialty finance, School Nutrition, Transportation, Substitute Teacher Management, and other software and tools. Works closely with cross functional teams such as Accounting, Procurement, Payroll, Budget, and Benefits to ensure accuracy and successful delivery of work product. Provides prompt and courteous customer support; works with team members about project statuses and the resolution of system issues; performs appropriate follow up ensure progress on work items. Assists with applications testing during implementations, updates, and upgrades. Maintains and develops user friendly documentation to ensure proper use of an application. Prepares weekly & monthly report

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Three years of experience in system support, testing, development, and design
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of management information systems; standard office practices and procedures; standard word processing and spreadsheet software; as well as the safekeeping and storage of confidential files
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct and document business process mapping, develop measurements, perform analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform office work promptly and efficiently; to plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively; to communicate effectively; to work cooperatively with others; to work under pressure and/or with frequent interruptions
  • Ability to develop technical and user requirements for emerging technologies
  • Ability to test applications to ensure accuracy and compliance with operational requirements.
  • Ability to implement technology solutions and work with multi-disciplinary teams
