The Role: As a Resource Planning & Analysis Specialist, you’ll be the bridge between engineering execution and strategic planning. You will forecast, allocate, and optimize cross-functional engineering resources—ensuring the right teams are engaged at the right time to meet Lucid’s ambitious milestones. This role is critical to maintaining engineering velocity, balancing headcount strategy, and enabling data-driven decisions across multiple programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Research, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience in engineering operations, workforce planning, or program management within an automotive, aerospace, or hardware-driven environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of tools like Smartsheet, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience and comfort navigating dynamic, cross-functional teams.
  • Working experience with Atlassian Confluence and Jira software.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with the vehicle development lifecycle, headcount planning processes, or resource modeling platforms (e.g., Anaplan, JIRA Portfolio, etc.).
  • Familiarity with vehicle architecture familiarity

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Vehicle Engineering leaders (e.g., Chassis, Body, Closures, Thermal, Systems) to forecast and align resource needs across Lucid’s vehicle roadmap.
  • Build and manage dynamic models that translate scope into effort and headcount over time.
  • Run scenario analyses to evaluate resource trade-offs, program shifts, or new initiatives.
  • Partner with Vehicle Engineering Program Management to manage and organize color, material, and finish bill of materials. Also partner to manage mechanical interface freeze tracking.
  • Collaborate with Program Management, Finance, and People teams to align resource plans with schedules and hiring strategies.
  • Develop intuitive dashboards and reports that highlight utilization, constraints, and capacity gaps.
  • Integrate data across enterprise systems to support high-fidelity planning.
