About The Position

Instrumental builds the manufacturing acceleration platform behind the world’s complex electronics. We capture digital exhaust and engineering context from assembly lines—images, test logs, BOM data, performance, repair cycles—and our AI engines identify insights that are difficult or impossible for human engineers to find. We accelerate the companies building the AI era by improving manufacturing yield, throughput, and ramp. NVIDIA, Meta, L3Harris, and their manufacturing partners rely on Instrumental to accelerate new product introduction and production. We're entering one of the most important periods in our company's history. Over the next year, we'll be building the team that defines Instrumental's next chapter. We're looking for a sourcer who loves the hunt. We see this area as solving one of the hardest puzzles in business: finding extraordinary people before anyone else does. We're looking for a sourcer who genuinely loves finding exceptional people – someone who gets excited by impossible searches and enjoys uncovering exceptional people that other companies overlook. This isn't a sourcing role where you'll work from static talent pools or rely on inbound applicants. You'll partner closely with recruiters, founders, executives, and hiring managers to develop creative sourcing strategies, map talent markets, and build relationships with exceptional candidates long before they're ready to make a move.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience sourcing for technical or engineering roles in a fast-growing environment.
  • Demonstrated success identifying and engaging passive candidates for difficult-to-fill positions.
  • Exceptional research and talent mapping skills.
  • Outstanding written communication and personalized outreach abilities.
  • A track record of creatively solving difficult hiring challenges through sourcing strategy rather than simply increasing activity.

Responsibilities

  • Apply excellent talent judgement: Take your understanding of “greatness” within a role + Instrumental and use that intuition to uncover candidates others would overlook
  • Solve difficult talent problems: When a search stalls, you don't simply send more InMails. You rethink your approach, explore new markets, test new hypotheses, and uncover talent in places others haven't considered.
  • Build world-class pipelines: Develop deep talent maps, cultivate passive candidate relationships, and build long-term pipelines for our most critical hiring needs. 100+ candidates in a week sourced doesn’t scare you if it’s the right thing for the role.
  • Tell a compelling story: Craft personalized outreach that earns responses from highly sought-after candidates. You'll represent Instrumental's mission and opportunity in a way that inspires people to learn more.
  • Help build our sourcing function: Experiment with new sourcing techniques, leverage AI thoughtfully, improve our research methods, and help define how sourcing evolves as we scale.
