About The Position

This role is responsible for working with sales representatives, business partners, and end-users to create systems configurations based on customer requirements. The Technical Solutions Engineer II will recommend products, run alternative configurations for better customer solutions, and resolve design configuration issues. They will also train sales representatives and partner engineers on configuration tools and provide pre-sales product training. Keeping up-to-date with new products and maintaining product certifications is essential. The role involves preparing technical presentations, conducting vendor trainings for partners on products and solutions, and providing product demonstrations to showcase how products meet client needs. Additionally, they will educate partners, inside sales teams, and other technicians on products and solutions. This job profile requires participation in a sales compensation plan, where a portion of the On-Target Earnings (OTE) will be variable and tied to specific sales-related goals set by Arrow.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a 4 year degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in own discipline and may still be acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.
  • Builds knowledge of the organization, processes and customers.
  • Solves a range of straightforward problems, and analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Work with sales reps, business partners and end users to create systems configurations based on customer requirements.
  • Create systems configurations based on customer requirements, offer product recommendations and run alternative configurations that may present a better solution to the customer.
  • Work with sales reps, business partners and end users to resolve design configuration issues and run revisions.
  • Train sales reps and partner engineers on configuration tools and how to use them.
  • Provide pre-sales product training.
  • Keep up to date with new products that are introduced and maintain product certifications.
  • Prepare technical presentations and vendor trainings to partners on products and solutions.
  • Provide product demonstrations to show how a product meets client needs.
  • Educate partners, inside sales, and other technicians on products and solutions.
