About The Position

Arcwood Environmental, a leader in industrial waste management since the 1970s, is seeking a Technical Solutions Coordinator I. This role is crucial for approving waste streams into the Arcwood network and securing necessary approvals for treatment and disposal. The Technical Solutions Coordinator will act as a subject matter expert on hazardous waste regulations and available treatment/disposal options, ensuring timely and compliant solutions for customers. The position emphasizes safety, collaboration, and continuous learning within a supportive team environment. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or related field (required)
• 3+ years of experience in a technical or operational role within the hazardous waste industry (required)
• OR In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in a technical or operational role within the hazardous waste industry (required)
• Previous experience working with multiple TSDF/T&D options (required)

Responsibilities

• Approve waste streams into the Arcwood network and secure approvals from Arcwood teams for waste treatment and disposal.
• Prioritize health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices.
• Follow processes and standards set by Arcwood’s Central Technical Experts, Operations Approval Chemists, and Compliance and Auditing team.
• Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) on Federal, State, and Local regulations for hazardous waste.
• Maintain an understanding of treatment and disposal options within the Arcwood network and provide guidance on the best solutions.
• Partner with the Third-Party Approvals team to secure outlets to third-party TSDFs.
• Guide Customer Solutions Coordinators on appropriate TSDF and process codes for new waste profiles.
• Speak directly to customers to understand waste nature when required.
• Approve new waste streams to enter the Arcwood network.
• Provide a 'hotline' for Operations teams to approve additional quantities and types of waste.
• Advise Operations leadership, Account Managers, and Customer Solutions Coordinators on the most appropriate waste destination.
• Assist Customer Solutions Coordinators and Account Managers in obtaining approval from Operations Approval Chemists.
• Provide expert guidance to Account Managers on new/complex waste streams to help win new business.
• Serve as the primary contact between Arcwood Service Centers and TSDFs.
• Support Customer Solutions Coordinators, Account Managers, and Service Delivery to resolve technical issues in the review holding area.
• Build knowledge of colleagues, specifically Customer Solutions Coordinators and Account Managers.
• Prioritize in-person and phone discussions to resolve issues with internal teams.
• Take on additional duties as assigned.
