This position will support the Engineering Technical Services team by contributing to finite element analysis (FEA) using Ansys, applying data analysis to drive business process improvement, and exploring AI-enabled tools to enhance engineering workflows.

Requirements

Currently enrolled and working toward completion of a Bachelor's or Graduate degree from an accredited university or college, with Mechanical Engineering, Computational Engineering, or related engineering majors preferred.
Minimum GPA of 3.0.
Good interpersonal skills to drive collaboration across multiple functions to achieve desired results.
Ability to work independently or within a larger team as required by the project and task.
Familiarity with Microsoft office products, i.e., Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication.
Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis, now or in the future, without employer sponsorship for employment visa status.

Nice To Haves

Prior coursework, research, or project experience using Ansys or other FEA software.
Experience with data analysis or visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Python, or MATLAB) and interest in applying AI-enabled tools to engineering problems.

Responsibilities

Support FEA activities using Ansys, including model setup, meshing, and definition of boundary conditions.
Assist with material property assignments, solver execution, and evaluation of analysis results under the guidance of an engineer.
Analyze engineering and operational data to identify trends, bottlenecks, quality issues, and opportunities for business process improvement.
Evaluate and apply AI-enabled tools, with appropriate human review, to automate repetitive tasks, organize engineering knowledge, or support technical calculations.
Other duties as assigned.
