The Technical Services Engineer takes ownership of customer issues reported and sees problems through to resolution. The incumbent researches, diagnoses, troubleshoots and identifies solutions to resolves issue by following standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal team. Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to train staff.
  • Thorough understanding of quality control standards and methodologies.
  • Thorough understanding of manufacturing and production in the industry.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related technical degree.
  • Seven (7) to ten (10) years' experience in Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Hands on experience in specification and design of plastics tooling, equipment, and automation.
  • Previous project management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Takes ownership of customer issues reported and sees problems through to resolution.
  • Researches, diagnoses, troubleshoots and identifies solutions to resolve issues by following standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal team.
  • Provides technical information and identifies technical opportunities.
  • Provides technical analysis of customer complaints.
  • Provides advice, council and recommendations on all matters pertaining to the technical aspects of the Company's activities.
  • Investigates customer issues using problem-solving techniques such as Six Sigma methodology to get at root cause of the challenging and complex issues internally and externally.
  • Provides feedback to R&D for new product development opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
