About The Position

The Technical Services Engineer (TSE) is a technical resource for Energy-as-a-Service projects, providing expertise and direction in developing and implementing energy conservation measures for retro-commissioning activities. Projects typically involve complex, multi-building and multi-campus portfolios in higher education and healthcare settings, with substantial mechanical infrastructure and advanced integrated control strategies. The TSE provides technical expertise across all phases of commissioning and collaborates with the engineer of record to optimize system performance and develop practical solutions. The role also supports training and mentorship of Technical Services staff and works closely with project managers, energy managers, and team managers to deliver energy and operational performance outcomes. The role requires deep expertise in MEP design and energy conservation measure implementation, particularly building automation and energy management systems. The TSE performs assigned duties with minimal supervision in a team problem-solving environment and promotes quality execution and a positive client experience. Technical expertise in HVAC systems, building automation systems, and energy conservation strategies is required, along with the ability to analyze complex system interactions and resolve issues across multidisciplinary teams. The position emphasizes commissioning knowledge, energy optimization, execution quality, documentation, and continuous improvement.
