About The Position

Are you interested in joining a team that offers technical consultation and education to manufacturers in the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical sectors? Bring your expertise to STERIS as a Technical Services Lab Associate. In this role, you will support customers and the sales team by assisting with data collection, lab testing, record maintenance, report preparation, and the daily operations of the lab. This position is based in Saint Louis, Missouri, and follows a 100% onsite model.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Biological Science, Biomedical or Chemistry is required.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to effectively source technical information as needed.
  • Demonstrates strong organizational abilities, sound judgment, and analytical thinking.
  • Actively participates in team efforts by adhering to the STERIS Code of Business Conduct and supporting management directives, while also completing assigned tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 1 year experience of laboratory experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience with UF/DF (Ultrafiltration/Diafiltration) testing is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Help design experiments and conduct tests using established procedures to gather data for laboratory evaluations.
  • Collaborate with a Senior Associate or Specialist to interpret results and plan subsequent experiments.
  • Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and offer recommendations based on findings.
  • Provide telephone and written support, literature, lab analysis, and assistance with field trials to customers in the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical sectors, as well as the sales team.
  • Handle tasks related to product applications, ensure correct usage, and provide background information or analytical support.
  • Assist with daily laboratory operations, including maintaining quality control records and documenting standard operating procedures for lab maintenance and equipment operation.
  • Coordinate the receipt, distribution, and storage of laboratory supplies.
  • Help generate, update, and manage technical support data for the product line.
  • Ensure adherence to government regulations by implementing safety policies and procedures.
