This position is for the medical devices, Cardiac Rhythm Management division, based in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. The position is on-site in Arecibo, with a schedule of 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m, or 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m, Monday to Friday. As the Technical Service Specialist provides independent clinical and technical support in response to inquiries from physicians, health care professionals, patients, and field staff using professional knowledge and judgment. Assure timely response and closed loop follow-up to clinicians, patients and company representatives by phone and/or email.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (± 16 years) preferably Electronic/Biomedical/Biology/Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience supporting highly technical medical devices in an office-based environment through phone, email, and text communication, with proven ability to assess, troubleshoot, and provide effective solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, paired with strong interpersonal and organizational abilities, as well as proven technical troubleshooting skills and foundational knowledge of electronics.
  • Language Proficiency English Expert
  • Language Proficiency Spanish Expert

Responsibilities

  • Field questions and documents all contacts via an approved tracking system per department SOP/DWIs, including Field Contact Reports
  • Acquires the necessary CRM training and experience to function as a Tech Service Specialist. Experience is gained through reading, attending courses/classes, and shadowing other Technical Service agents.
  • Remains current on developments in the field(s) of expertise, applicable regulatory requirements, and restrictions, and knowledge of the company’s products, markets, policies, and objectives, as well as industry trends.
  • Under the direction of a mentor, observes device implant and follow-up procedures.
  • Works additional hours, days, or schedules (including other shifts, weekends, and/or holidays), if directed.
