About The Position

Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a Client Technical Service Rep to support their Treasure Valley Lab Centers. This is a full-time day shift, Monday-Friday schedule. In this role, the representative will provide detailed technical support for hospital outreach-based clients and act as a resource to other laboratory support staff. Services include assisting with highly technical questions, providing support material for esoteric testing, and conferring with laboratory staff to find specific answers to questions. They function to find solutions for all issues requiring research and follow-up. The role also involves providing new and existing outpatient laboratory services clients with assistance in staff training, addressing questions/concerns of SJHMS operational standards, and following up with management on recommendations for improvements. The Client Technical Service Rep is responsible for maintaining service excellence by acting as a liaison between the Laboratory and all existing outreach customers, problem-solving, and maintaining positive customer relationships. Depending on the site, the role may also include ensuring area personnel are properly trained and assessing competency levels.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • At least three years of related experience
  • Current phlebotomy/Lab Tech experience and skills

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in medical technology
  • Understanding of laboratory operations, terminology, methodology and logistics in both anatomic and the clinical laboratories
  • Knowledge of medical insurance billing procedures and requirements

Responsibilities

  • Provide detailed technical support for hospital outreach-based clients

  • Ensure area personnel are properly trained, to include assessing competency levels (depending on the site)
