About The Position

As a Technical Service Engineer for the Fabrics group, you will be customer-oriented and involved in hands-on work at customer sites. This critical role involves direct interaction with customers for service calls, performing field service work, data collection, and providing overall support for all paper machine clothing related issues. You will assist in performing shutdown services related to paper machine clothing across all sections of the paper machine, including support during clothing installations. Your expertise will also be utilized for inspections and services conducted between clothing installations. Additionally, you will perform minor equipment and inventory audits to support customer contracts and agreements. This hands-on position requires close collaboration with Product Managers, Sales, and Technology experts to ensure customer-focused cooperation and meaningful results. While the position reports out of the Appleton, WI office, the work will be performed remotely within the US Midwest region, with a preference for candidates located in or near Ohio.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree (BA, BS) from four-year college or university
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience and / or training, preferably in the paper industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong trouble-shooting abilities
  • Ability to travel to customer sites
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

  • Strong understanding of paper machine clothing (willing to train with appropriate background and willingness to learn)
  • Located in or near Ohio
