About The Position

The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth across G3 Enterprises’ equipment portfolio and packaging within the Central Coast and Southern California wine regions. This role develops and executes sales strategies focused on new account penetration, share of wallet expansion, and long-term customer partnerships with winery customers. With a comprehensive winery portfolio, the position sells our entire equipment range such as presses, full turnkey bottling lines including fillers, corkers/cappers, labelers, capsulers and dry-end automation as well as our dry goods products including Diam corks, screw caps, glass bottles, and kegs. Working closely with winery production teams, operations leaders, winemakers, and ownership groups, the Senior Sales Manager evaluates winery workflows and recommends integrated packaging and equipment solutions that improve operational efficiency, production performance, and packaging quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of experience selling packaging products, winery equipment, or related industrial products reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 7 years of relevant G3 sales experience; OR High School Diploma or State-issued equivalency certification plus 12 years of experience selling packaging products, winery equipment, or related industrial products; OR High School Diploma or State-issued equivalency certification plus 11 years of relevant G3 sales experience.
  • Required to travel 35–50% of the time.
  • Candidates for this position must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record. Required to obtain a California driver’s license or appropriate state driver’s license within 30 days of hire.
  • Skilled in the use of MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint at an intermediate level.
  • Demonstrated experience in consultative B2B sales within the wine, beverage, packaging, or processing industries.
  • Experience selling integrated bottling or processing systems.
  • Experience working with production or operations teams.
  • Ability to manage complex sales cycles, particularly capital equipment projects.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree plus 10 years of sales experience in winery equipment, packaging, or beverage production systems.
  • Winemaking experience and/or prior experience as a Winemaker or Bottling Manager.
  • Deep knowledge of winery production processes including crushing, pressing, fermentation, bottling, and packaging.
  • Experience presenting complex technical solutions to winery ownership and executive leadership.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage sales performance for the Central Coast and Southern California territory.
  • Drive revenue growth through both new winery account acquisition and expansion of existing customer relationships.
  • Achieve assigned sales quotas and territory growth objectives.
  • Conduct winery site visits and operational assessments to understand production requirements.
  • Develop and deliver technical sales presentations, proposals, and equipment demonstrations.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to winery production teams by providing solutions to bottling, processing, and packaging challenges.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with winery owners, operations leaders, winemakers, and procurement teams.
  • Maintain strong partnerships with existing customers while identifying new business opportunities.
  • Represent the company as an industry ambassador to prospective clients.
  • Identify and develop opportunities to cross-sell additional company products and services.
  • Partner with internal teams including engineering, operations, customer service, logistics, and technical services to support sales activity.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline management through CRM systems.
  • Analyze market conditions, competitive activity, and customer demand to support territory planning.
  • Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and strategic account plans.
  • May mentor or provide guidance to peers, distributors, or indirect team members as needed. Responsibilities may include supporting training, knowledge sharing, and collaborative sales initiatives.
