About The Position

MTSI is seeking a Technical Scheduler/Joint Exercise Planner responsible for synchronizing the planning, resourcing, and execution of experimentation, demonstrations, and multi‑service events that drive mission success. The selected candidate will be an operational planner who understands joint experimentation, required infrastructure, service participation, and technical dependencies.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of technical scheduling experience
  • Experience planning or supporting DoD technical experimentation, exercises, events, or demonstrations
  • Familiarity with joint operations, cross‑service coordination, and C2 concepts relevant to integrated developmental programs
  • Ability to manage schedules across multiple time zones and geographically distributed teams
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage complex dependencies
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate across military, government civilian, and contractor personnel
  • Active TS/SCI

Nice To Haves

  • 20+ years of experience
  • Experience with ABMS, JADC2, or similar environments
  • Prior military or government experience in joint planning or technical operations
  • Familiarity with experimentation infrastructure (cloud/on‑prem environments, service‑specific systems)
  • Proficiency in project or scheduling tools

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, scheduling, and coordination of technical experimentation and joint exercises across the Air Force, Army, Navy, USMC, and partner organizations
  • Develop detailed timelines, checklists, and coordination pathways to ensure all technical and operational elements are ready prior to events
  • Ensure appropriate service representation and participation at events
  • Maintain synchronization with geographically dispersed teams
  • Identify required systems, equipment, cloud/on‑prem resources, and networks needed to support experimentation
  • Coordinate closely with engineering and operations teams to confirm all capabilities are configured, transported, and available
  • Work with program leadership to prevent gaps such as arriving at events without proper infrastructure or integration environments
  • Liaise with service representatives, program managers, operators, and technical stakeholders to ensure alignment across all phases of planning
  • Participate in meetings, working groups, and sync sessions to maintain situational awareness of priorities and schedule changes
  • Maintain an accurate schedule of events, readiness status, risks, and dependencies
  • Provide inputs to program leadership on upcoming requirements, conflicts, or resourcing gaps
  • Track lessons learned and incorporate improvements into future planning cycles
