About The Position

Stream-Flo is one of the largest privately held companies providing wellheads, gate valves, check valves, and surface safety systems for the worldwide oil and gas industry. This role aims to strengthen Stream-Flo's preferred supplier relationship with customers by providing direct technical support, knowledge, and acting as an internal advocate for client technology needs. The specialist will promote Stream-Flo Group of Companies products and services, enhance the company's profile with customers, and identify market opportunities. Key responsibilities include technical liaison with customer representatives and engineering, proactively addressing product and service issues, and leveraging industry knowledge. The position also involves monitoring market trends, understanding sales product mix, and providing updates to sales and operations on product trends. The specialist will identify customer service requirements, provide technical and engineering information, and support sales in tracking critical field issues. They will also help resolve technical challenges at the business and field level, provide reports, and assist in researching and developing new products. The focus will be on primary accounts in Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma.

Requirements

  • Related post-secondary education and 10 years senior/strategic management experience in an oilfield equipment sales role (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Thorough understanding of US oil and gas industry, including customers, competitors and products
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills - ability to create accountability and commitment towards achieving positive results
  • Action oriented - strong entrepreneurial drive and attention to detail
  • A solid reputation for integrity and delivering on commitments
  • Well-developed customer relations skills
  • Superior written and oral communication skills with an eye for detail

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with enterprise wide systems
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, Engineering drawings and specifications
  • Experience with technical / engineered products

Responsibilities

  • Strengthen Stream-Flo's preferred supplier relationship with customers, by providing a direct avenue to technical support, knowledge and act as internal advocate for the client’s technology needs
  • Promote Stream-Flo Group of Companies product and service solutions
  • Enhance Stream-Flo Group of Companies profile with customer base by facilitating Company/Customer discussions and introducing key contacts
  • Identify market opportunities and advise strategies to maintain and/or win business.
  • Provide technical liaison to customer representatives, and pro-actively address issues related to Stream-Flo's products and service, in support of our customers
  • Liaise with engineering regarding technical inquiries
  • Leverage industry knowledge to identify market opportunities (products, services, customers) for the Stream-Flo Group of Companies
  • Watch market and work with customer to understand sales product mix, changing technology and selling price.
  • Keeping current with changing trends, industry developments and competitor’s strategies
  • Provide the sales and operations updates on product trends and potential changes to standard products being stocked
  • Identify current and future customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with customers and other persons able to understand service requirements.
  • Provides product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests
  • Support sales in ensuring all technical requirements are being tracked for “critical” open field issues
  • Support clients to resolve technical challenges at the business and field level and provides weekly, monthly reports and feedback
  • Help in researching and developing new products
  • Focus will be on primary accounts in Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma
  • Additional task as assigned
