About The Position

At Woodland Direct, we don't just sell fireplaces - we help customers transform their homes, patios, and backyards into inviting spaces centered around fire. We are actively hiring multiple Hybrid Technical Sales Representatives for our Auburn Hills, MI showroom and office. This role combines in-office collaboration with work-from-home flexibility while helping homeowners, contractors, and trade professionals select premium fireplaces, fire pits, outdoor kitchens, venting systems, and outdoor living products. This is a consultative inside sales role focused on relationship building, product expertise, and problem solving - not high-volume cold calling. We are looking for motivated professionals who enjoy guiding customers through meaningful home improvement projects and delivering an exceptional buying experience.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of inside sales, technical sales, or consultative sales experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable learning technical products and explaining them in a simple, customer-friendly way
  • Motivated, self-driven, and confident working independently
  • Organized with the ability to manage multiple customer projects simultaneously

Nice To Haves

  • Construction, building materials, HVAC, hearth, or home improvement knowledge is a plus, but not required
  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field is a bonus

Responsibilities

  • Own the Customer Journey from inquiry to post-sale support-online, supporting homeowners, contractors, builders, and trade professionals
  • Drive Sales by phone, email, and chat using our proven sales system, hitting and exceeding monthly and seasonal goals
  • Become an Expert in fire features, including fireplaces, venting, fire pits, outdoor kitchens, wood stoves, and patio heaters
  • Work a Flexible Retail Schedule, including weekday shifts and rotating Saturdays
  • Support Installation Expectations, timelines, and customer satisfaction
  • Pursue Certification and grow toward becoming a nationally recognized Master Hearth Professional
