About The Position

The Technical Sales Representative supports the growth of Lifecycle Services revenue by promoting and selling aftermarket parts, field services, upgrades, rebuilds, preventive maintenance programs, and other service-related offerings. Working closely with customers, Regional Sales Managers, Customer Service, and Field Service teams, this position identifies sales opportunities within Marlen's installed equipment base and assists customers in selecting solutions that improve equipment performance and reliability. This role is responsible for proactive customer outreach, opportunity tracking, quotation support, and follow-up activities while delivering exceptional customer service and helping achieve Lifecycle Services sales objectives.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in technical sales, inside sales, customer support, aftermarket sales, or industrial equipment sales.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical information and communicate solutions effectively.
  • Experience using CRM systems, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to utilize customer, sales, install base, and service data to identify opportunities and support business decisions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell aftermarket parts, service, upgrades, rebuilds, and preventative maintenance solutions.
  • Proactively contact customers to identify equipment support and service needs.
  • Leverage CRM, install base, sales, and service data to identify sales opportunities and customer trends.
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and sales documentation.
  • Follow up on customer inquiries, quotations, and open opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate customer, opportunity, and activity records in CRM.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service, Field Service, Engineering, and Regional Sales Managers to support customer requirements.
  • Assist customers with product selection and provide technical information regarding service offerings.
  • Support sales promotions, marketing campaigns, and customer outreach initiatives.
  • Monitor customer purchasing patterns and equipment history to identify additional sales opportunities.
  • Participate in customer visits, trade shows, and training activities as required.
  • Provide timely communication and follow-up to ensure a positive customer experience.
