About The Position

EnerSys is an industrial technology leader providing mission-critical stored energy solutions. This position will report to the EnerSys Energy Systems business, serving markets such as telecom, cable broadband, industrial, renewable, and data centers. The role involves selling integrated DC power, energy storage, and lifecycle service solutions. The Technical Sales Representative (TSR) acts as the primary technical-sales interface with customers, EPCs, OEMs, integrators, and channel partners, focusing on system-level opportunities. The company has a global presence with numerous manufacturing plants and serves over 10,000 customers in more than 100 countries.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in technical sales, applications engineering, or solution-based selling
  • Experience with DC power systems, energy storage, UPS, or related industrial power technologies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to travel within assigned territory as required
  • Flexible schedule to support customer needs
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Compliance with all EnerSys safety, ethics, and conduct policies
  • Must be able to pass the company’s driving requirements
  • Risk of electrical shock.
  • Must be able and willing to do overnight travel
  • Employees are responsible for wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment in the proper manner at all times.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds/11.5 kilos on occasions.
  • Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch.

Responsibilities

  • Support system-level selling of DC plants, batteries, enclosures, monitoring, and lifecycle services
  • Translate customer requirements into technical solution concepts aligned with EnerSys and Alpha portfolios
  • Engage customers, EPCs, integrators, and OEMs in application, specification, and architecture discussions
  • Assist senior sales leaders with opportunity qualification, proposals, and deal progression
  • Coordinate with Applications Engineering on complex or custom system designs
  • Maintain opportunity activity and contribute to accurate forecasting
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Operations, and Services on customer solutions
