About The Position

Bluefors is seeking a highly motivated Technical Sales Lead to join their growing Sales team. This role will play a key part in shaping strategic customer relationships and driving the adoption of cutting-edge cryogenic technologies across the quantum and high-tech manufacturing industries. The position offers an opportunity to work at the intersection of science, technology, and commercial impact, collaborating with forward-thinking organizations. The role involves leading strategic technical engagements with key enterprise clients across the U.S. and Canada, managing complex roadmap discussions in cryogenics and measurement infrastructure, and aligning Bluefors solutions to evolving customer needs. The Technical Sales Lead will develop and execute account technology strategies, take ownership of opportunity creation and long-term sales growth, and establish strong customer relationships in collaboration with the account team. They will also work closely with internal sales and technical teams to ensure a seamless customer experience, act as the customer advocate to resolve issues, coordinate cross-functional resources, and contribute to best practices. Monitoring market and competitor trends to identify new business opportunities and influence strategic direction are also key aspects of this role.

Requirements

  • Minimum of an MSc-level degree in applied or technical physics, or strong experience in quantum computing or a related field
  • Proven experience in a technical sales or sales engineering role, preferably with scientific instrumentation
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey technical information effectively
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Willingness to travel
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken

Nice To Haves

  • Scientific research or R&D background
  • Documented experience in technical sales of scientific instrumentation
  • Knowledge of cryogenic equipment, specifically dilution refrigerators
  • Positive, hands-on attitude
  • Strong execution skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic account technical engagements with key clients across the U.S. and Canada, managing roadmap discussions in cryogenics and measurement infrastructure, understanding customer needs, aligning solutions to meet them, and taking ownership of creating and executing sales opportunities.
  • Develop and execute account technology strategies that align customer objectives with Bluefors’ solutions and business goals.
  • Establish and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships in collaboration with the account team, and drive collaboration initiatives within the accounts.
  • Collaborate with the sales and technical teams to deliver excellent customer experience.
  • Serve as the customer advocate, resolving issues in a timely manner, coordinating cross-functional resources, and developing best practices to support long-term technical collaboration.
  • Monitor market and competitor trends to identify new opportunities and influence strategic direction.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
