About The Position

Trench Limited - Maybrook Division is looking for an agile Technical Sales Designer to join our offer Management team. The successful candidates will lead the creation of technical sales offers and proposals for our custom high voltage products across assigned markets. Trench Canada delivers state-of-the-art, safe, and reliable instrument transformers, coils, and bushings for seamless energy transmission. Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with hands-on experience in high-voltage transmission products or systems
  • 5 –10 years of technical and commercial experience in utility and industrial sales
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and relationship-building skills to engage with customers, sales agents, and senior leadership
  • Solid understanding of commercial terms (e.g., liquidated damages, warranty, INCOTERMS, indemnification)
  • AI-forward mindset: comfortable using tools like Copilot and ChatGPT to enhance productivity, automate tasks, and streamline offer creation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills across all organizational levels
  • Familiarity with power system simulation software and high-voltage product engineering

  • AutoCAD and electrical system analysis software is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation of technical sales offers and proposals for air core reactors and line traps across assigned markets
  • Support sales teams with technical documentation, presentations, and RFP responses
  • Ensure offers are competitive, compliant, and aligned with pricing strategy
  • Collaborate with international sales offices and customers to address inquiries and develop pricing strategies
  • Review customer specifications, commercial terms, and support contract negotiations
  • Work cross-functionally to tailor offers based on engineering, product, and customer requirements
  • Provide input for monthly sales budget planning and performance tracking
  • Host key customer visits and lead technical/commercial contract discussions
  • Monitor market trends and competitor offerings to refine proposal strategy
  • Maintain and update departmental KPIs using AI-enhanced reporting tools
